How much could he help a team? He's been injured a lot and he's nothing but trouble to boot. The only thing I can think of is the possibility that someone might want to sign him to one year deal so they could cash in on his chase of Hank Aaron's home run record. Beyond that, I don't see where he's got much left to offer. Besides, he may wind up in jail before the season's even over.

He'll wind up with an AL team, but he may have to take a big salary cut to do so. Not sure if NY would be interested in him or not...it'd be a good stadium for him, with the short right field...but he's always been a big disruption to a team. (And they don't need another disruptive player right now.)
He'll sign with somebody. Despite all his claims that he might retire, the egotistical piece of sh*t wants to surpass Aaron more than anything in the world. He seems to think that it will "validate" him as a great player...despite the fact that he had to load up on steroids to do it.
I'd love to see him in prison, but I don't think he'll end up there. The only person who could really put him there is that guy who's been going to jail on contempt of court charges instead of testifying....and I suspect he will continue to do so. (Wonder how much he's being paid not to squeal?)
Ironically, had Bonds NOT taken steroids, he would have wound up his career with a lot better reputation than he will now, despite all the gaudy batting statistics.

My thoughts are that Barry Bonds made a factual statement. Steroids or not, Miguel Cabrera is not currently the hitter that Barry Bonds was from 2000-2004. In those 5 years, Bonds averaged a line of .339 / .535 / .781 / 1.316 and won 4 straight NL MVP Awards. This year Miguel Cabrera is hitting .387 / .457 / .659 / 1.116 through the first 2 months of the 2013 season, and last year he hit .330 / .393 / .606 / .999. Miguel Cabrera won a triple crown last year, which Bonds never did, but that's because no one pitched to Bonds, and therefore he couldn't amass the RBIs. From 2000-2004, Bonds averaged 174 BB per season, including an average of 61 IBB per season. Last year when Miguel Cabrera won the triple crown, he was walked only 66 times and was walked intentionally 17 times. And Cabrera is absolutely innocent until proven guilty, but the fact is that we don't know for a fact that he or any other player is clean. Just remember that people used to say that Manny Ramirez was a great natural hitter, a pure hitter. One of the best pure right-handed hitters they had ever seen. No one ever suspected that he were doing anything. Manny just loved to go out and hit, "Manny being Manny." And we all saw what happened with him. Again, I'm not accusing Miguel Cabrera of anything. He's innocent until found guilty, and no one has any evidence of him cheating. Anyway, I'm just saying that Barry Bonds was a better hitter from 2000-2004 than Miguel Cabrera is now. That's a fact. He may have been on steroids, and Miguel Cabrera may not be, but it doesn't change the fact that Bonds was a better hitter.

An AL team that needs a DH and a team that is a contender. This is Barry Bonds though. Hes just a record chaser now and can barley move around anyway. (The Yanks, Oakland, Anaheim)

I can't see any American league team going after the guy that much.

The Yankees already have a left hander DH - Giambi

Anyone who cares about the clubhouse (tigers..) would not wnat him because he kills the clubhouse, with all the baggage that surrounds him. Most fans hate the guy, so its hardly a great PR move.

Do you really see him putting up good numbers? he will be another year older..

Personally, for the good of Bonds, for the good of the Giants, for the good of Baseball, I hope the guy calls it a day.

You hate to see what he has to put up with, and if he wants to play, the Giants might be pressured into signing him by their fans, at a time they should look to break in some younger players

Barry bonds will be asking for a ton of money to play on any team as he is about to break Hank Aaron's home run record. The question is...who will pay him?

Whatever Bonds asks for in any contractual agreement, it will probably cut deeply into the operating budget of any franchise. So, would it be worth it to that team who would sign him?

And, if there is any criminal wrong-doing by Bonds on the baseball field, would it eliminate Bonds as a player and what about his record?

Would Barry Bonds record stand as is, or would it be voided?

Many questions... many "IFS".

Look i think that he is a great player despite all the controversy surrounding him and some team will pick him up and most likely out on the west coast and about the whole steroids thing i think he did it but until they prove it i think everyone should shut up about it and give him the respect he deserves and i understand that steroids make you stronger but they dont make you hit the ball better thats all in hand eye coordination and i think he has got the best eyes in the game still so theres my take on it

According to his agent every major league team is interested.

HA!

As all end of career stars do, he may end up on an American League team as a ticket drawing DH. Maybe Texas or Baltimore.

But...

Bonds drew nothing but BOOOO's everywhere but San Fran. He's probably better off resigning with the Giants which is what he'll probably do.

All Barry Bonds is, is just a distarction will all of the steroid investigations and not to mention he is like 40 years old. He just wants to be able to break Hank Aarons record.

The team that wants, and will get barry is the team that needs the biggest boost. think, just a one year contract will get him in your uniform to break the most coveted record of all time. my guess would be oakland. close to home and look at what they did with frank thomas last year.
