Wait another day or two and take another test. That one will not be too early. Those tests are pretty accurate though, so maybe you shouldn't go baby clothes shopping yet!

Maybe, but if you truly did have sex after you ovulated, then I don't think it can happen. The egg only survives for like 24 hours. And there was more than 24 hours between the 17th and the 23rd.
But I have also read that the ovulation tests(which measure your LH surge) are not %100 accurate in determining ovulation, reason being that sometimes other things happening in your body can cause an LH surge(giving you a false-positive ovulation).
So if these two things happened I would say definitely take another test in around Nov. 12-14th
1)you had unprotected sex up to 7 days before your supposed ovulation
2)if you ran out of ovulations sticks or just stopped testing for ov after the 17th because you assumed you had all ready ovulated

I'm pregnant now and my boobs got sore too but they also got alot bigger. Before I got prego my boobs got sore sometimes before my period. The more you stress about it the longer it could take for you to start because stress effects you cycle. Just relax and wait it out. If you go a month without your period then take a nother test. Going to the doctor now may not help because they use a pee test also. When I first went to the doctor nothing showed up on my ultrasound, but the next one there was a baby.

just wait a sec here~! was Oct. 2nd the 1st day of your last period or is that just about? if it was then around the 16th would have been your time to get preg. . BUT some women cycle later so yesyou could have gotten preg between the time of the 14th thru the 23rd. and no it is not to soon to tell I figured out that i was preg within 2 weeks so it is possible!

give it a week, and if no period then take another test. Did you know that sperm can live in your body for up to five days? Also even if you were not ovulating you can still get pregnant. I would suggest if you don't want a baby then you need to get on birth control. Otherwise test in a week and that will give you your answer.

I would wait and take one sometime next week. When you took the last one it was to early. Some of the time it is mainly your whole boob that hurts when you are pregnant. When it is your period your nipples are mainly the ones to hurt. Just give it a little longer and then try again.

you very well could be. I would hold off about a week and retake the test. breast tenderness is a pregnancy symptom, but some peoples become tender right before their cycle. If your not satisfied with the urine test, then go to the dr and have them to a blood test. Then you will know for sure if you are or not.

It maybe to soon to find out -- I think you should wait til you are a few days late to test -- try to wait at least a week -- i know its hard (i am waiting myself)
Beings you are not late yet and your boobs being sore is also a PMS symptom it would be hard to tell if your pregnant or you are just getting ready to start your period.
