You never gave your height, which is a key figure against the pass. You don't decide what position you play, your coach does. You are heavy enough for high school, but 50 lbs shy of college and pro. If you want to play college, you would be a CB with that weight. Do not try to get fat to gain the weight. You will end up moving like a slug, if your body doesn't like that weight. Don't be too impressed with interceptions. I've intercepted balls from a state champion quarterback even though I never played on the football team (it was P.E. flag ball). They just can't get the power behind the ball and they aren't very accurate.

Learn reads, learn postioning yourself against the pass, learn to prevent fake out, practice stripping the ball, learn to stop the run and learn to tackle. Once you get the technicals down, your stats should go up. If you can't strip the ball from a 175 lb RB, chances are you are going to have major trouble with a 250 RB in college, if you plan on taking it to college. You should look at the stats of college CBs (such as run times and weight), because chances are that's where they will put you.

In my opinion I would put you at safety. It's hard to say without seeing you run. An outside linebaker preferably should patrol the edges and a middle linebaker covers the range of the field. It all comes down to your football IQ and instincts and you need some speed to play safety. 200 lbs. is heavy for a high school linebaker. I would suggest that you hit up the weight room and gain some muscles and train for speed

200 lbs isn't exactly small for a ninth grader. You should consider playing the "mike" (middle linebacker). You have to love to hit though. I don't know what kind of defense your team plays, but as long as you can call assignments, read your keys, and plug holes you should be alright.

It all depends on how big your conference is you play in. Chances are, if you're "big" for your area, you'll be playing MLB/ILB.
