Citronella is frost tender. It is actual a sented geranium if that helps you any.
You have three choices:-
1 - leave it outside and let it die when the frost kills it off.
2- take cuttings and start a new plant indoors over the winer
3- bring the whole palnt in, put it in a sunny window and treat it like a house plant.

I bring mine in every year and it does very well.

although I garden all the time, I looked up this one as it doesn't freeze down here....the web site says the best thing to do is take cuttings and bring inside for the winter....or, since it is an annual, just let it die and buy again next year.....they even said that someone composted over theirs real heavy and the next spring it came back up????????? or reseeded...
