I love music, and need to get into Elvis Costello. Where do I began. I'm looking for what many fans may consider the definitive Elvis Costello sound.

There is no such thing as a BAD Elvis Costello album!

I would start with a 'best of' album and continue from there. It will have his hits, and what are widely considered to be his best songs... hence the name! That's what I usually do when discovering a new artist, start with the best of and then get another album if you like it.
