Hospitals probably won't take it because there are kids with special restrictions on diet and they measure intake daily.
I would suggest you leave some as a nice treat for your postperson, take a bag full in the car with you, give it to the clerk at the drive through window, call it drive through trick or treating and your treating. Give some to the clerk at the dry ceaners, your dog groomer, the clerk at the tag/tax office, a receptionist that you don't usually spak too, the janitor in your building. You might be surprised that a smile and a small piece of candy could make someones day. Wether they eat it or not its the thought that counts, just be kind & thoughtful for no reason and see what comes of it. Sure, it creats more effort on your part, but ya never know who ya might be treating.

If you're not going to eat it, there is always children in the hospital that didn't even get to go trick or treating that would love to have some of that candy.
Sometimes I go trick or treating and take my things that I get and take them over to the local hospital, and give my candy to those kids that were unfortunate enough to have to have been in there when Halloween came.

If it's not open I believe you can return it to the store. I think giving it to children in the hospital is a nice gesture but I think many of them wouldn't be able to have it. You could keep it for when you have little visitors or even big ones. LOL Like someone else mentioned you could also take them to work, I am pretty sure they wouldn't last very long.

Take it to work and leave it in the break room. People at work will eat anything.

or else you could save it and eat it all at once when you are bored and procrastinating doing something... Have a contest with yourself to see how much you can eat in 30 seconds...Or else just give it away...

i know ppl who sell it to their dentists for moola. give it a try i havent yet i love candy WAY to much to give it to a guy i hate :)
