Decades ago, I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish .. put it in my wallet ... referred to it often. It kept me going through some pretty rough times.
Many of the items, like visiting all 50 states, are a work in progress (about 85% complete) and visiting Scotland and Ireland (not yet!). I am still going to learn another language .. a Native American language. I am also working on perfecting a gift for healing others..it's sporadic, but getting better.
Some of the completed items:
Join the Navy .. first on the list .. a goal since I was 5 years old. I went through boot camp at age 29, the oldest one by far (even older than the company commanders .. i.e., D.I.'s)
Home in the country ... second on the list, developed as a child living in Arizona and southern California. Accomplished about five years ago and it's mortgage-free.
Return to College ... went back in my 50's! Sure was a lot more fun than the first time around, in my teens!
Help Abused Children ... the motivation for return to college; worked as CPS social worker assistant prior to move to country.
Getting my poetry published .. what a rush that was!
Along the way, I learned several trades (mechanic, electrician, electronics technician, social work, executive assistant --shorthand @ 180 wpm, typing at 100 wpm).
I learned to surf, ride a motorcycle, owned a Harley, rebuilt my own truck from ground up and viewed the world from billboards all over the country (great views, especially at night).
It is a very interestingl list, as complicated and intricate as a tapestry; my memories are brightly colored threads and the tapestry's image is still being woven. I will not know what the final image will be for some time, but the process sure is fun.

Help pass a law that would never let first time sex offenders back in society! Help hungry, neglected children, make a real difference in someone's life. We cant save the world, but if we could just help one child, if everyone did, it would make all the difference.

I would like to have at least one of my novels published by a good publishing company that would do some promotion and get me some circulation.
I would like to visit my homeland, and see as much of Europe as I can.
But above all, I would like to do something significant to promote world peace.
