No, I used to clean a place called Blood Tunnel. It was 5 foot by 30 foot and the blood of at least 125,000 chickens would fill it everyday. Allot of times the heads would fall out into the congealed blood, which was around 3 and 1/2 feet deep, it was red liquid near the walls, and down the center of the small room (where the lines ran) it was a mass of coagulated blood under the lines (where the chickens necks were cut and the blood drained).
I know it doesn't sound pretty, but chickens don't just fall over featherless and dead, ready for KFC and someone has to do the work. I was only in 10th grade and working for the summer and let me tell you, I had NO INTENTIONS of quitting school after that summer and working that job. So, no, I have no aversion to blood, after a summer of digging into blood to get out chicken heads and dealing with 3.5 ft of coagulated blood, it no longer seems to bother me.

blood IS so gross but i think its cool and great that you want to be a vet-- without them do you know how many poor little dogs and cats woulnt make it? they would have to suffer with their problems and pets are so lovable how could you not help them? face your fears to help the helpless....

Nope, doesn't bother me at all. But if it bothers you just watching it on TV, being a vet is probably not for you.

No m'am. Course I grew up on a farm and I'm used to it. Not a lot like that bothers me.

ummm... Well honey, doctor shows might be pretty bloody and if you plan on doing any surgeries and you get queezy just seeing it fake on tv, then no. But when things are real and helping, hopefully you wont be consintrated on how ucki it looks, but on how important it is not to screw up! If your that worried about it, i dunno - be a groomer!

its not the blood, its the big gash or the doctor putting their hands in the wound.
