There is no such thing as race. There was a study done on human DNA, within the last ten years anyway, typing and comparing the DNA of people of many different "racial" backgrounds. Of course all the Asians expected to be genetically closer to Asians than anyone else, but it actually turned out that one Asian girl was closest genetically to her black male classmate. We are really very much alike under our skin.
Humans are the closest to each other genetically. It's amazing. There can be as little as one nucleotide difference that distinguishes your DNA from mine.
You're totally right. People is people.

Yeah, I don't like it when I ask a question about race relations, and the high-roaders say something trite like "race doesn't matter" or what you said. I know this, but unfortunately, race still matters a lot to some people, so people who say this are just wrong.
BTW, better be careful. Some troll is going around reporting people. I got reported 3 times.

Race is a socially constructed category composed of people who share biologically transmitted traits that members of a society consider important.
People often confuse race and ethnicity.
People may classify one another racially based on physical characteristics such as skin color, facial features, hair texture, and body shape.

I agree with Gadfly. I enjoy variety and diversity. If we all looked virtually the same, then we would fight each other based on what kind of pencils we used or what kind of shoes we wear. Humans are very fickle. I think people need to be embraced as individuals and their features should be appreciated.

You are right, of course, but I find the cultural differences really interesting and enriching. How bland the world would be without the differences, the variety.

Neanderthals were also human, some scientist argue chimps are human too. Did you know that?
