She has two teeth coming in at the bottom, she just started teething about a week ago. And one of them is about to break through her gums. Could this be why she wakes up at 10pm, 3am, or 5am, when she has been sleeping through the night since she was three months old??? Is there anything I can do that will help? I'm losing a lot of sleep and so is she, how can I help her stay comfortable while she is sleeping?

Poor baby (to both of you!! ;o)
Yes, that's why she's waking up. It will pass soon, but in the mean while frozen bagles will help her break those teeth in fast. You must supervise her when she's eating it, but the cold helps soothe her gums and the bagel is nutritious to boot.
If it gets really bad ora-gel is OK, but it's an anesthetic and I personally don't like to put that stuff in the mouth of a really young child, but others do use it. Also as a last resort there is always baby motrin.
Just love her and make her feel safe when hse calls to you and she'll forget the pain, but remember the comfort your smiling kind eyes provide her in the dark of the night.
As the famous saying goes: This too shall pass....

ok, here's my advice to u, if she uses a pacifier, have a few in a shallow plastic bowl with some water and stick the bowl with the pacifiers in it into ur freezer, and give her 1 at a time, that will numb her gums and ease the pain, keep switching pacifiers once u see that she feels the pain waking up. do the same with teething rings, and of course motrin for the pain- it's way better than tylenol and it will help if she gets a fever or swelling in her gums. good luck.

Of course that's why...do you know the feeling when you have a tooth ache?! THe throbbing and pain ..imagine having a tooth breaking THROUGH your gums...it may also be bothering her enough to cause her ears to hurt a bit...and a slight fever may be there too...Maybe try propping her up at an angle..and use baby Orajel ~ but try the propping up so that it's not bothering her gums that will affect her ears...

During the day, let her have a tuff, plain flavored jerky to chew on. A lot of babies dont like the cold stuff for long. Jerky tastes good, and all the gnawing will help to break the teeth in faster. It worked great for my daughter because orajel didnt last long, and the cold stuff made her even more uncomfortable.

If it is really bad you can give her a bit of Tyenol before bed, or rub Ambossol on her gums. But that definitely explains the erratic sleep behaviour, my daughter was the same way with every tooth unless I gave her a bit of tyenol at bed time. Good luck!

My 10 month old is teetihing too, I give her motrin at night before she goes to bed that helps alot, I also give her cold wet washcloths to chew on. Teething rings put in the freezer also helps alot. I know what you are going through.

that could definatly be the reason. what you can do is give her tylonal before she goes to bed. that will help with pain. also when she is up rub a cold wash cloth along her gums, this will help the teeth come through. you can also try using orajel and rubbing it on her gums also before going to bed....

teething is very painful. You can put baby ambesol, or oragel, you can also give her baby Tylenol, Motrin to help her rest more easily. Follow directions when giving young children medication. You can also try an old and proved remedy that I always used; which is to give her a cold wet washcloth to chew on. Hope this helps; it always worked for me.

You can rub the gums with your finger (preferable clean). Use a pacifier and their is also a gel you can purchase at drug store ex-CVS that help relieve the pain on the gums.

My Dr. recommending giving my baby Tylenol, then 3 hours later Mortin, then 3 hours later Tylenol again. (Obviously the infant formulations and only the recommended dose.) This is if your baby is waking up in pain (mine was). For really bad teething episodes, this helped both of us.

Good Luck!
