Not if the dog was not on a leash. I assume you have leash laws.

In order to determine grounds for a lawsuit you would have to provide much more information. Did the dog die? Were you negligent? Was there an evasive action you could have taken to avoid the incident? Was the dog on the neighbors property? On a leash? Out in the street? Are you so fat that you cannot control the tricycle? Are you an illegal alien from outer space? Get the Picture:?

If it was out of its yard and not on a leash, then no. But then again, anyone can sue, whether they have a case is another question. Now, why you were riding a tricycle for fat people, that is the more interesting question!

Anybody can sue anyone for any reason. Whether a plaintiff might prevail in such an action is another matter. What happened to the dog? Were there vet bills or other costs that arose out of the incident? You might be liable for such costs; typically, homeowner's insurance has a clause covering liability of this sort (generally with a deductible). You would not have liability for anything other than proven costs.

Anyone can be sued. It depends on how mad the person who owned the dog is and how much money they can get from you for the damages and the mental anguish of losing their beloved pet.
They can probably also sue the store that sold you the fat-guy tricycle because they have really deep pockets and probably should have known better than to sell it to you.

You're kidding right? I mean to even think you cannot be sued. Think about it, a thief breaks into your house, robs your behind clean, trips and fall then sue you for leaving grease on your floor- in your own house- com'on man, this is America, you get sued for anything.
My advise will be to try speaking to your neighbor- if they are still friendly as they used to, then there' hope if they stop speaking, please get a good lawyer quick...there are lots of things to go to jail for- but riding under the influence of stupidity accidentally killing a dog shouldn't be one of them- at least not in China.
good luck

Probably so; if some idiot can get three mil off McDonald's for their coffee being too hot, this will be a slamdunk by comparison.

Well it depends. Was it malicious intent or reckless abandonment? Just to be on the safe side, perhaps you should hire a lawyer.
