Don't worry! First of all, you are pregnant and your body is changing and will continue to for the nest few months! Your weight gain is fine. Every woman is different. Some show early, some show late. With all of my pregnancies I showed early. It doesn't mean that you are having twins...but don't rule it out. When you have your ultrasound they will check to make sure...but it's probably just the way that your body is. Right now, sonce you are so early in your pregnancy, most of that belly bump is fluid and water retention anyway. Your baby right now is only about 2 1/2 inches long.
Good luck to you and congrats on your pregnancy!

Are you eating more?
That may seem like a silly question, but that could have something to do with it.
Some women become quite large, quite fast, and some hardly gain much weight at all, I've seen people who ranged from 40 or so pounds to almost 80 or more pounds in pregnancy.
And you've also reached a new trimester at 13 weeks, which is considered an excellent time for pregnant women.
If it worries you, talk to your doctor at your next appointment.

That's totally normal...and if it's your first pregnancy you're allowed to freak out and ask a million questions.
You could be having twins...but the likelihood depends on a lot of things. You should go to the doctor as soon as you can, if you think that's possible. Sounds like normal gain to me though. Different weight gain for different women.

well, I have had two girls and did not show much, (my starting weight is the same as yours) But I am now pregnant with a boy. And I am poking out huge too. You could be having twins, but you could also just be big. 13 weeks is early, but it is still possible. (I am guessing its a boy) but who knows until you get an ultrasound. good luck and congrats.

its actually very normal, & remember every body is different! I am 5 weeks & already hav a pouch & am freaking out. With my 1st son I started wearing maternity clothes at 10-12 weeks. at 12 weeks is when most womens uterus starts spilling out of their pelvis... if you have weaker abs you will 'pop' sooner then someone with a washboard stomach. Also I hadn't gained any weight when I started showing last time.
Also at this point your OB has felt your uterus... odds are if it was twins they would have noticed & send you in for an ultra sound for an enlarged uterus.

ok, first of all- u really should watch ur weight- only for safety precautions with u and the baby when it's time to deliver, second it's very easy to gain a few extra pounds- so stick to only eating small portions of food, only eat breakfast, lunch and a light dinner and very important drink plenty and i mean plenty of water for the baby. i too had a big belly, by the time i was 3months preg. people thought i was about 5 months. so i wish u the best, and good luck.

don't worry, I'm 6 months along with my first, and i'm telling you I feel like a whale! usually with your first you are bigger, but remember that alot of the weight you will gain will be water weight, and within a couple hours of having the baby, its gone. So don't worry, all will be well, I know a girl who is 6 wks pregnant and she's put on like 15 pounds, but she eats alot. so don't worry :)

Yes that's natural, you are going to exhibit faster with a moment being pregnant considering the fact that the uterus has been stretched earlier than. Basically with moment pregnancies considering the fact that the frame has already performed all of it earlier than, it comes alot extra usual and it's alot less difficult for the frame to expand and it additionally occurs alot faster eg: (your breasts developing better alot faster than the primary time and uterus increasing faster) And it's also natural to enjoy extra weight obtain with a moment being pregnant. It is all natural! Congrats for your being pregnant!
