Notre Dame overrated, and overhyped. Sorry what other college team can claim as many titles as they can, what other team can claim as many Heisman winners. History matters in college football. Schedule talk Notre Dame has the 13th roughest schedule in the country to date, compared to teams like Texas(48), WVa(89), Louisville(70), LSU(46), Ohio State(23). Tell you what all haters on Notre Dame come up with the same excuse year after year for why they arent good, and schedule is always at the top of the list yet every year they are in the top 20 for strength of schedule. I guess if they had played a schedule like Texas or LSU they would get more props. Get off it you want to see overranked, and overhyped teams look at the SEC.

ChazOhio, I hate to tell you but Ohio State has basically played the same level of competition as Michigan. Both teams played a school that was a then #2 on the road with Ohio State blowing out Texas, and Michigan blowing out Notre Dame. In fact if you would look at the schedules you would see that Michigan has in fact played one tougher team than OSU, that being them having to play Wisconsin this year, albeit in the big house, whereas OSU avoided them. Other than that game the OSU and Michigan schedule is very similar talentwise.
Anyway my rankings (top 5) for overrated/overhyped teams:
1. West Virginia
2. Georgia Tech
3. Rutgers
4. California
5. Boise State

only a complete moron would say USC they played for the National Championship for the past three seasons, winning 2. hey loose one game and the village idiots learn to open their mouths.
Notre Dame, WVU, Louisville Rutgers are the most overrated teams this year. They play cupcake schedules and three are from the same conference.

While I agree with Not re Dame, I will have to disagree with your '' GO MICHIGAN'' statement. Michigan's Defense is my second choice for overrated. Their stats speak highly for them, but I don't think that they will be able to stop the Bucks in Columbus. I might be wrong, but I don't look for that game to be close. But on a friendlier note, I absolutely agree with the ''notre DAMES''. They always get all the ''play'', but don't show me much to back it up. I think the Michigan game earlier this year and the Buckeye game last year were prime examples of the over hype and their mediocrity.

Right now, Notre Dame yes, USC before they lost was overhyped. I picked Ohio State in the beginning of the year and i don't see anyone (including michigan) beating them. I am watching the WV louisville game now and the cardinals look REALLY GOOD. It could be Ohio State vs Louisville.

Notre Dame, easily.
They had to mount an epic comeback against Michigan State, about as mediocre a team as you get.

over rated hmmmm.. how about these close calls from the #1 & #2 lockups. Michigan -- I didnt know Ball State still had a football team and I grew up in IN. Ohio State -- Where in the Big Ten is Illinois ranked? Either one of these schools could have had the USC shocker this week. It just happened to ND in week 2, against Michigan who was ranked at the time. Or do we forget all that???
