First decide what is important to remember from: What did teacher write on the board, or what did they discuss the most, what is title of area being studied. Mark a list of these facts and see if there something common among them. If it's just list of stuff, than outline A Effects of war on economy 1, 2,3, 1a, 2 a bc etc.. Look for clause and effect patterns A happened because of B this works well if you can relate stuff your trying to learn to stuff known. Most likely you will never be able to learn every phone number in phone book, but look for ways to remember as many as possible.

What exactly are you trying to remember? It helps to associate the things with like a story or try and intertwine it with your life.
If you give me some things that you need to know for the quiz, I can see if I can try and help you with them.
Good luck!

If you have a friend that is good at it, study with them, and have them tell you what's going on, and see if you can recite it back in more of a story form. If its dates and such, then it has to be just rote memorization.
