Just recently, a textbook company sent me a check. When I opened it, I accidently cut the check in half. Will the bank accept the check even though I was cut in half. If I tape it, will they accept it?

Yes, I think the bank is obligated to accept it, although they may contact the person who wrote the check. If, however, the signature was cut, there may be some formalities. But it's not like it was ripped up into little pieces or anything. It's probably obvious enough that it was accidental.

Yes they should accept it as long as it looks like it was legit in its original, non ripped, form.
