LMAO.

Ok, honeychile.

Time and Again

TIme and again, however well we know the landscape of love,
and the little church-yard with lamenting names,
and the frightfully silent ravine wherein all the others
end: time and again we go out two together,
under the old trees, lie down again and again
between the flowers, face to face with the sky.

Rainer Maria Rilke

1875-1926

AT THE END

He was so old his bones seemed to swim in his skin.
And when I took his hand to feel his pulse
I felt myself drawn in. It was as faint
as the steps of a child
padding across the floor in slippers,
and yet he was smiling.
I could almost hear a river
running beneath his breath.
The water clear and cold and deep.
He was ready and willing to wade on in.

Wishes for my Sons

i wish them cramps.
i wish them a strange town
and the last tampon.
I wish them no 7-11.

i wish them one week early
and wearing a white skirt.
i wish them one week late.

later i wish them hot flashes
and clots like you
wouldn't believe. let the
flashes come when they
meet someone special.
let the clots come
when they want to.

let them think they have accepted
arrogance in the universe,
then bring them to gynecologists
not unlike themselves.

Lucille Clifton

I found the last one truly hilarious.

All the best.

What would you prefer:

Darkness eternal embodies my soul.
My heart is torn by death's icy grip,
then my mind is flooded by despair
'til I long for sleep's gentle touch.

Something sad?
Lost Beauty

Sometimes we want to fly
and yet we want to die
for death will free the pain
that comes from losing you again.

Through all these times I can't forget
the wrong things said, I now regret.
For when you died, you took away
the hope that keeps me alive today.

I won't accept that now you're gone
because I guess that I'm not done.
For you can see I'm still in love,
with you my angel and my dove.

Something dark?
Shadow

In coldness and in fear
In darkness all become clear.
In the cries that we hear at night,
when despair shadows the light.
When the eyes play tricks on the mind
where an answer is hard to find.
When hope gives way to cries
when all that is heard is lies.
In places of hope forgotten
where blood and lust are begotten;
the shadows lurk into our heart
of the night we become a part.

Something different?

I have waited long, longer than you would know;
I have been there in the hardest of time.
I have seen all the tears, when you have felt low
wanting you to hear my little rhyme.

In silence I've watched you feel sad
for nothing, could I say out loud.
The times that you cried, you made me feel bad
but with smiles you made me feel proud.

Yet again here I am, nearby you I stand
not wanting to at all hear you cry;
and to heaven I go, and to God I demand
your joy, for your Angel am I.

Take your pick, if you don't like any of them, that's ok.
Good luck.

Jabberwocky
by Lewis Carroll

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the manxome foe he sought--
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

This is Jaberwocky by Lewis Carroll this is one of my favorite poems ever. Have fun.

A haiku? Limerick?

Haiku: A green tree in the
Path of a big yellow star
Creates a shadow

Limerick: There comes Peter
He's not really neater
Than Jane
With a hat and a cane
You can tell Peters not a cheater

Sorry, its all I got.

I've written a few poems, in my time. At least, they rhyme, anyway. For the full list, check this out:

They're on all sorts of subjects. For a loo-oo-oong one that deals with education, check this one out:

For a romantic one, you could look at this example:

My favorite is probably this one:

That Day
That day when the towers came tumbling down everyone was stunned and put on a frown. Mourning on their loved ones passing.
Disapproving of what those people have done. Standing in disbelief
screaming to the sun how could you do this their life is done.
To those people who lost their moms, their brothers, their sisters,
their fathers we're here for you.

it may be stupid but it might work

Chestnuts

I am sorry to say
that the robin is gone
and the soft, white, cotton blanket of snow
has covered the tulips you expected to bloom
and the last of the apple blossoms
has blown to someone else's springtime
and I have used the last of the chestnuts
to
warm
my
hands.

Is this ok?

On a mid summer day I met you standing there so tall and strong. You waved to me in the light breeze
I felt like floating, floating down
Down
Just like the leaves that came from your sturdy branches
