In larger bills there is a strip in the bill, that if you hold it up to the light you can see it to determine if its real (I don't know for sure if 20s have them, but I think they do)
Or the next time you go to a grocery store, ask the cashier if she could use her money marker that detects if money is real. I am a cashier and we have these markers, if you write it on money and it is real, it will show up yellow, if it is fake the ink will be black.

There is marker, that most places like stores carry to see if the money is real. All they do is mark on it and i think if it changes colors its fake. I don't know were you can get the markers. Call your local bank about the marker and maybe they can tell you were to get them.
