I don't know anything about mineral oil, but I haven't been able to buy Ponds moisturiser for years here - Australia. I thought the company must have discontinued making the stuff. It is a lovely moisturiser and was voted the best some years back by Choice Magazine.

Im not a dermatologist or anything, but I don't see any reason why something with mineral oil in it would be bad, it's in alot of stuff, like shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.. Also I use vitamin E to remove my eye makeup and haven't had any problems thus far. Vitamin E is really good for skin and hair, so why not? The only advise i have is to not overdo anything with your face, like washing it 3 times a day, or using multiple products. I just use dove soap to wash my face (the pink bar) and use moisturiser afterwards and my skin seems to be doing pretty good :)

Don't worry about mineral oil. If you are having a good reaction to the product keep it. Oil of any kind as long as it is clean is not a bad thing.

mineral oil can be good for your feet or hands (if you don't touch your face alot - which you shouldn't anyway).
Yet, if you are talking about your face, the proactive system worked well for me. They have lots of products including moisturisers and sun block so you don't have to have an acne problem to use them.
I am really glad I bought them because I was about to have facial scars. ; (

Ponds is fine i think, thats what my mom uses on her face and she looks 10 years younger than she is.... ppl always tell her shes too young to have a daughter as old as me, and she had me when she was 27 years old!!!! So i think its safe to say that ponds does work.
