I am currently 5 days & 1 day pregnant with my second child. With my first son my pants got tight around 8 weeks, I needed maternity clothes by 10-12 weeks.

Tthis time around has been something else! I am actually 10 lbs less then my pre-prego weight with my first... I am 5'4" & a size 6 (well was) I found out I was prego at 3.5 weeks... but this last week my pants just DON'T fit. I thought I was imagining it, but have had hubby & the neighbor look. Also I have actually lost a pound. I know my uterus is still super tiny right now, but is this normal? Twins don't run in any part of my family.

I feel totally embarrased wearing maternity pants yet, but I simply can't wear my other pants & am not gonna by bigger ones to wear for a few weeks.

I just ordered a Bella Band cause a friend suggested it to me.

That is normal with your second child - you start showing a lot earlier in the pregnancy. Good luck!

This is the oh so fun pregnancy symptom of bloating. I did not look pregnant for almost six months... but let me tell you, my pants stopped fitting at six weeks (first baby). The baby had very little to do with it, it was all water retention and gas. Second pregnancies show earlier than first ones, so don't be concerned, but if you are having the bloating problem, take a look at what you are eating or drinking. You may be able to get back down a size. good luck!

During your first pregnancy, the ligaments and muscles in your abdomen stretched, which makes you start showing earlier for future pregnancies. It's completely normal.

Even though you feel silly wearing maternity pants already, look on the bright side, remember those dull pains you had in your abdomen during your first pregnancy - those were due to your muscles stretching... you should barely feel that this time around, if at all.

Good luck!

Some women are bloated early in pregnancy you may need to up size your pants you don't want to put to much pressure on your growing belly. It usually subsides alittle as you are most likely retaining water. I wish you luck and congrats on your baby.

I don't think you'd be actually showing so early (like you said, your uterus is still pretty small), but no doubt that bloating and that damned preggo gas has something to do with it! Perhaps you are on to something with the twins hypothesis...whatever it is, good luck to you and your family!
