A teacher of mine once read this quote in class:

"Within each and every good and perfect thing lie the seeds of its own destruction through an excess of its own virtue."

I think that sums it up well.

I agree that too much of a good thing can really be a bad thing. ~~ My sister sends me these amaretto coated pecans. I love them. I mean, they are really very, amazingly good and I could eat a pound of them in ten minutes. But, I get too much of those good things and, Wow. I have a very bad feeling in my stomach. See?

Well if you have too much of something good, then its not really good anymore because you had too much of it.. you got used to it. Good things are things that you dont get very often and they are supposed to be enjoyed, not over-rated :)
