Ok. You wanted sad rockish songs, but the saddest song of ALL time is a country song called "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones.

"I Won't Ever Be Happy Again" - Brigh Eyes
"Poison Oak" - Bright Eyes
"Breathe No More" - Evanescence (Although, it's not a sad LOVE song, really)
"Black Balloon" - Goo Goo Dolls
"One Thing" - Finger Eleven (well... depends on how you look at it; it could be a sad song to some, but a thought-provoking song to others)
"The Scientist" - Coldplay
"Good Day" - the Dresden Dolls (anti-sad song; spiteful, actually)

Eva Cassidy's "Autumn Leaves"
The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips.
The summer kisses.
The sunburned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall.........
or Eva Cassidy's "I Know You By Heart"
Midnights in winter
The glowing fire lights up your face in orange and gold
I see your sweet smile shine through the darkness
It's line is etched in my memory
So I'd know you by heart.
Mornings in April
Sharing our secrets we'd walk until the morning was gone
We were like children laughing for hours
The joy you gave me lives on and on
Cause I know you by heart
I still hear your voice on warm summer nights
Whispering like the wind
ohhhhhhhh
You left in autumn
The leaves were turning
I walked down roads of orange and gold
I saw your sweet smile. I heard your laughter.
Your still here beside me every day.
Cause I know you by heart.
Cause I'll know you by heart..............
