It's been happening pretty frequently for the past month or so. I get other people's mail delivered to my house and I've had other people drop off my mail to me that was delivered to their house. And the 2 days, I haven't received any mail at all except for magazines and junk mail. That's very unusual because my household receives alot of mail everyday.

Maybe the people at the post office are getting confused because my neighborhood uses the same house numbers for every street. For instance, my address is 2107 Burton Way but it was delivered to 2107 N Alpine Dr., and there are a whole lot of streets here. I don't know what's going on at the Post Office if there is new people or something working but is there anything I can do?

I am a letter carrier in the post office so this is probably what is happening. The vast majority of letters are sorted by a machine and placed in house to house order by the machine,if the letters are incorrectly sorted by the machine the carrier delivering the mail is supposed to catch it as he looks through the mail as he walks from house to house.Sometimes if there is a lot of mail they don't look pass the number to the street name do to time restrictions. My suggestion to you is to speak to your carrier and explain your concerns then they can make a special effort to look out for any missorted mail of yours.this problem happens all the time and you will get the best results by far if you speak directly to your carrier.

I would write the Post office in Washington and explain that your mail is being delevered to this address because of a mix up. You are worried for it security.

go to the post office asap and tell them what is going on. They need to know or they cant fix it. IF it continues, contact your Congressman/woman's office and tell them what is going on. They will make sure it is corrected
