you can ask, of course. THe ultrasound will show the size of the baby's head, heart, etc. I think you're ok, though. I didn't gain more than 5 pounds by my 5th month, and then it came on faster near the end.

If you are concerned about weight gainyou should ask your doc. But honestly as long as you are eating healthy the baby will get what it needs!!!!
Depending on you beginning weight & height you may not need to gain lots. I was average size pre-prego & gained 25 lbs... which is a healthy average... most the 2nd half of my pregnancy. One of my best friends on the other hand is slightly over weight (size 14/16) is 39 weeks & has gained 1 lb. The doctor is not worried because she is eating well & the baby is growing properly, just means less weight to loose!!!
Same applies for underweight people, they should gain more then the average 25 if possible, but while maintaing a healthy diet.

How did you not comprehend you've been pregnant for 5 months?? Goodness. different posters are asking how old you're....and from the way you've worded your question, it seems you at the instantaneous are not of criminal age yet because you're afraid to inform your father and mom. in basic terms sit down your father and mom down, or in basic terms your mom (in case your father will be thoroughly disillusioned with you), and clarify the problem. it really is the deal although....you and Jace more effective perfect arise with a good plan on what you're going to do to furnish on your toddler. Having a chain plan once you tell your father and mom makes you both seem more effective mature and able to take on the duty of a teen.

At 4 1/2 months this is fine. Don't worry -- you'll be bulking up soon enough!
And remember Sam: Johnson's comment to Boswell:
"A pregnant woman is one of the finest sights a person can see in the everyday world".

Anytime you are concerned about anything having to do with your pregnancy always call your doctor's office and ask them. The nurse can answer most of your questions without having you come in. Dont rely on what other people have experienced. Every pregnancy is different. Be on the safe side and ask your doctor.

YOU SHOULD ASK YOU DOCTOR, JUST IN CASE, IF YOUR NOT THROWING UP. WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH MY LAST TWO OUT OF FOUR, I LOST WEIGHT. WITH MY THIRD CHILD I GAINED 10 POUNDS, AND WITH MY LAST CHILD I GAINED 8 POUNDS. YOU SEE MY KIDS WERE BORN IN 1980, 1986, 1987, 1988 SO I WAS ALWAYS DOING SOMETHING ALL THE TIME, BUT MY B/F AT THE TIME WAS A LOSER, SO I HAD A LOT OF STRESS GOING ON IN MY LIFE. YOU SHOULD ASK ANYWAY.

Don't be concerned yet. However at this point you should be focusing on gaining weight slowly. Eat healthy foods, have smaller meals at different times of the day instead of three big meals. Eat when your body tells you that you're hungry.

Its normal to lose weight a little going into your 2nd trimester, but ask your doctor or nurse and see what they say. You will gain it all back in your last two month.

Everyone is different. I had one friend that lost weight with her pregnancy. As long as you are taking those vitamins and eating healthy, you will be fine.
