My Number 1 favorite Baseball Team is the Oakland A's because I am from the bay and I have liked them ever since I was a little kid when they had Jose Canseco, Dennis Eckersley, Mike Gallego, Rickey Henderson, Carney Lansford, Mark McGwire, Dave Stewart, Walt Weiss, Bob Welch!
My 2nd favorite team for some reason is the Atlanta Braves when they had Steve Avery, Ron Gant, Tom Glavine, Dave Justice, Ryan Klesko, Greg Maddux, Terry Pendleton, Deion Sanders and John Smoltz.

Reading all these anwsers I can't help but just mock 'em. The Red Sox before 2004 they didn't win one World Series since 1918. The Giants haven't won anything since the 50's and 40's. The A's win every year and then once they get into the playoffs they win the first two of a best-of-five and then get swept. But the Yanks, Cardinals, and Mets they are the smart ones. They at least win something.
But My top team is the NEW YORK YANKEES.

When I was a kid, I lived and died with the Yankees. I remember being 11 years old and listening to the 7th game of the World Series in 1960 when Maz hit the home run to beat the Yankees in 7. I recall thinking it was so unfair. I was upset for years!
When I was in my twenties, I moved to the South and got to watching the Braves on Ted Turner's SuperStation and after watching 140 games a year or so (oh those hapless Bravos in those days) I became a Braves fan, too.
Now that I'm almost 60, I find I just enjoy the sport. From Jeter to Ichiro to Big Pappi to the Rocket, I just enjoy watching these guys show their skills. Win or lose, the world goes on.
Baseball, the Greatest Game in the World.
