I havent had it in two months. But, I have been active in marching band and lose about 15 pounds. I'm just scared, though.

And my mom doesnt want to take me to a "female doctor."

Anything to sya that can help block this thought?

The weight loss could very well be the cause. When you lose weight, your hormones change. Providing you did not have sex. Otherwise wait and see. If you don't get it soon, speak to the school nurse. She will definitely be able to help you.

Stress and losing weight can cause you to miss your period. I missed mine when I was 17 for 3 months. I went to the Gyn and he prescribed birth control to set my hormones on an even Kiel. I still take the pill and have not had any problem. You indicated that you wanted to go to a female Dr. rather than a male (At least this is what I thought) no matter your age you should have the choice. I use a female now but have been to both. I do prefer a female. Just tell your mom that you prefer a female over a male and explain why. I bet she will agree.

I apologize ahead of time for not following your directions in being a male answering this, but this is the internet and I don't know you, you don't know me, so I hope my answering doesn't bother you too much.

Anyways, a lot of the time, when females lose weight, their period will stop. It is not abnormal at all. The reason a person's period stops, when a person is losing weight or staying very fit, is because the body believes that it is not receiving enough food to support a baby, and it therefore stops the period to prevent pregnancy. This is a completely normal biological process and is (probably) nothing to worry about.

I thought when you work out a lot more your periods tend to be shorer or you don't get them as much. I just started cheer this year and my periods have been a lot further apart and shorter. My friend cheers 2 and she gets her periods like every like 3 months( i think) . Marching band is A LOT of exercise 2 so that might contribute 2 it. Also if if ur n marching band your probably younger... i guess so you probalby got your period not to long ago so your period cycle might still be outta wak.

It does sound a little soon to be worried. You don't say your age, but if you're under 17, or had your first period less than 3 years ago, it's liable to be irregular, with many missed ones. And the weight loss could really do it, too, in a woman of any age.

Eat healthy, drink water, get lots of sleep. :-)
