Chemical symbol denotes a solitary chemical. Chemical formula denotes a mixture such as H2O for water or H2SO for
Hydrogen Sulfide gas(the rotten egg smell from oil refineries).
The number following a letter is always smaller in print but, I cannot do that on this computer. That number denotes two parts Hydrogen in my examples.
