I know this sounds like an urban legend but I'm afraid that it happens more than you'd think. That's always why I used to tell my drunk buddies to be polite when ordering a pizza. One guy I knew who worked in a restaurant kitchen spit in his step-dad's ex-wife's food when he saw what she ordered. A local pizza place was closed by the health department after it was discovered that a perverted pizzaboy had, well "assaulted" a pizza and served it to a customer. What gives??? I know some people who won't eat fast food for this very reason

I don't think there's any more or less chance of this happening in fast food as opposed to sit-down restaurants... and it's illegal... but you're right; I'm sure it does occasionally happen. But with video cameras and managers policing employees, not to mention other employees watching, it's not probable.

Yeah people are sick and there is nothing you can do about it. I actually went to a restuarant for a christmas party and was drugged. I have no clue who did it but thank god I made it home ok. Some people are cruel and some just find it funny which is sickning. I wouldnt stop eating it all together. I dont think that people really do this stuff when they are unprovoked and most fast food restaurants are packed with employees so getting a chance to spit or do something to food is hard. And almost always there are being videotaped. So hopefully you can rest assured that most of the time I am sure you food is fine.

Its not just in fast food places, and it usually happens late at night . Not when there are alot of managers around. But your buddies should be polite anyway. restaurant work is hard and very stress-full especially when you are trying to wait on a bunch of drunks that are rude and are unable to remember what they ordered.

I could tell you so many things that I saw and name names.... I was a restaurant manager for 10 years.

My favorite (though it is so bad) is what my waitresses would do to the area cops who would take up their booths for hours and leave a .05 tip - there is a certain "medication" that causes instant diaharreah that they would put on their sunny side up eggs.

One of my employees - I was told - also whizzed in a vat of spaghetti sauce. It wasn't confirmed but I dumped it anyway.

In a N. CA town, a Taco Bell was shut down because employees deficated in the taco meat and served it to customers.

I worked in a pizza place for years and i never saw anyone do anything to anyone's food. However, I have heard horror stories about BK and McD's employees doing a LOT of nasty stuff.

When I was in high school, my friend told me that he got so angry at an obese lady that rudely demanded ranch dressing for her salad. The large container of ranch dressing from the salad bar was empty.

He said he took the empty container from the salad bar and went to the freezer room in the back of the restaurant and quickly ejaculated sperm into the large container of ranch dressing.
Then he poured ranch dressing onto the large container and went to the front of the store and served the ranch dressing to the rude obese lady.

I was so grossed out after my friend told me this story.

I worked at Dominos in college for about a year. Nothing disgusting ever happened. Mind you, more than a few on-the-clock hours were wasted getting high in the back room. But we never ignored the phones or walk-in customers. And we wouldn't make any food for ourselves until we were completely closed (munchies be damned!)

Ahh, fond memories.

I worked at a fast food restaurant before and there was never any incidents like that at all.
I think it's rare.
Even if it rarely happens that is enough to keep me from ever going to a fast-food joint.

I don't work in fast food but I've seen some pretty nasty stuff done to people's food.
I guess you have to be careful who you're rude to. Especially if they're going to be serving you food.
