I'm a makeup artist & esthetician that has worked extensively with mineral makeup. The beauty of minerals is that they are completely inert and resistant to bacteria, therefore unable to cause a reaction from skin. This is why they are great for sensitive & acne prone skin. However, some mineral lines do add ingredients that some can be sensitive to. GloMinerals, Jane Iredale, & Youngblood are all great lines to try.

I have very sensitive skin, but Bare Essentials have never caused me problems. Was there anything else you started using at the same time as the makeup? Did you use the Bare Vitamins with the makeup? It has salicyclic acid in it, which helps combat break outs. I would give it another try, but that is because I love the makeup!
Good luck!

I LOVE this stuff as well... I've been using it for 2 years. Are you using any other products aside from the foundation, such as moisturizers, creams, etc? If you are, try not to use those and use the bare minerals as normal, if the problem isn't solved, then stop using bare minerals and see if that works.
You may also need to clean the brushes you apply the makeup with - and make sure to use hypo allergenic cleansers.
Sometimes you can develop allergies and reactions for things you regularly used - out of the blue.
Do you dye your hair at all? My friend Stef started breaking out on her neck and back and forehead from the hair dye she had been using for years, and my mother started breaking out from her regular soap. Try all avenues before you give up entirely. You may also want to see a dermatologist to see if they can determine where the problem may lie.

I also have a jar of the start that i take advantage of as a powder over my liquid beginning with the aid of fact it does not provide me the coverage i desire via itself. It in all probability wont irritate your pores and skin . . . in case you do attempt it out i desire to advise getting a high quality brush . . . it makes each and all the version interior the worldwide with the utility. and that's particularly helpful to think approximately getting a primer on your face so the makeup will final longer.

Yes the same thing happened to me so I discontinued it for about 2 weeks then I tried again, but this time I used my own moisturizer underneath instead of the bare vitamins (skin rev-er upper). I haven't had any problems since. My skin is now flawless!

I love Bare minerals. I have used it for years, It cannot clog your pores so it can not be the cause of your breakouts, you can even sleep in it. Has anything else changed in your beauty regimen?
