ok so what exactly is going on with North korea now and its relations with us and its nuclear intentions?

North Korea is in nuclear weapons development, and the USA still sends them food. I'm serious.

North Korea believes the USA won't stay out of its business, and feels having nukes will finally get the USA to have direct talks with them.

The USA should have talks with them, and use diplomacy to solve this crisis. War with a nuke North Korea would be devastating the the USA and it's Pacific allies.

North Korea action lately could be considered as just a mere provocation and scare tactics to gain publicity to the world and USA. The situation now is considered under control as China keeps North Korea at bay. China and Japan monitor the situation really close because North Korea could become a danger threat to Japan because Japan one is the biggest business and trading partners to USA. If Japan economy collapsed, it would impact US economy too.
North Korea has spent a huge amount of money to enhance its nuclear technology (which is dangerous) because the country might sell the expertise to Iran-also the biggest threat after Iraq. At the same time, many people in N. Korea are dying without food and medicine under the dictatorship of their president. USA send the humanitarian help to N. Korea but N.Korea asking for more than help. They want money not for the people but use it at the wrong way. At this point, N. Korea agree to discuss about the issue once again and nonone knows whether N. Korea would agree with the UN/ US conditions to stop its nucear development programme .
