Celeron processors have the reputation for being notoriously slow and it one of the reasons they are cheaper than pentiums. You get what you pay for.
For recording, you need a fast processor or you can get blips and burps in your recordings.

For sure Intel Pentium, Celeron is the cheap version of the processor, for video editing I would suggest dual core processor and a minimum 1GB of RAM and 256 MB Video Card
