Oh you lot are all mean. Did you ALWAYS do your homework when you were kids? So Digory has been made to live in London with his weird uncle so that his dying mother can get looked after by the aunt. He meets a little girl - Polly next door and they start exploring their old houses. They stumble into the weird uncles room and he tricks them into testing these rings he has. It takes them to a waiting place between the worlds where they can jump into pools of water and enter other worlds. They go into a puddle and wake up the white witch who follows them back to their world and causes all sorts of trouble for everyone including their uncle. To stop the trouble they use the rings to get her back to the other world but accidentally take a 'cabbie' and his horse and the uncle with them too. They go into another puddle/world and meet Aslan who forms a new world - Narnia. He sings it into existence. But the uncle cant understand him or all the other talking animals. The white witch runs off. Digory finds a tree with magic fruit which he takes back to his mother which cures her. The cabbie gets made the 'Adam" - first man of Narnia along with his wife. Digory and Polly bury the rings under a tree in the backyard. The tree eventually gets chopped down and made into a wardrobe - hence the lion the witch and the wardrobe. Ok? Hope this helps.
