Kind of depends on HOW it is used. As direct evidence against you in a criminal case, then no, the fact that you failed a polygraph is not admissable as evidence. Sometimes prosecutors will tyr to slip it in as testimony though. But let's say you passed. The fact that you took the test and passed can presented as a coroboration of your testimony.

Civil court? Probably quite a bit more leeway on the use of the tests as evidence.

No. All 50 states do not allow polygraph tests as evidence.

I am not from Texas but i think polygrph testing is not anymore realible these days. courts does not accept it anymore as evidence because a person can lie even with the polygraph testing. simple tips such as answering "no" when you are asked about your name. see.... it is as simple as that..... its not anymore reliable these days.
