i just got an ipod and wheni plug it in to itunes it says the device is ipod (yea ok w/e) and i added all my media that i downloaded from bearshare to itunes but to get them to my ipod, i can't just simply connect and sync, but do i just have to drag every song (1235, dats a lot)to the ipod icon that is under device?

No, you can drag them all at once:
1. Click on a song (the first song that you want to drag to it)
2. Hold shift then click on the very last song that you are putting on the iPod
3. this should highlight all the songs that you want to put on there
4. Drag to iPod and it may take a while to actuall load them all
