I have been planting an avacado tree over seven years already, but it never produce any fruit from the very beginning. I don't know why?
It is growing healthy about 12 feet tall now. There is enough sun shine and water in my garden. I want to know the secret how to help it to produce fruits by the coming year, please!

Seven years is not too long. It could take anywhere from five to thirteen years for an Aquacate tree to flower and blossom. I am unsure how long we had to wait for ours... but it may have been about five years. You should check the PH of your soil, and the type of soil you have. Here in Puerto Rico, our trees are in a rich clay soil, (never tested the ph), and the trees thrive everywhere! Our tree had a few pieces of fruit after about Five yrs, and has steadily increased it's yeild, over the years... This year we got about 10 bushels of Avocados (which is a mis-spoken english version of the Spanish name, Aquacates)

I've heard they need 2--you need a second to have cross pollination. I had 2 for years and they never fruited. They both fell down in a tropical storm a few years ago. There is also a specific kind of fertilizer spike for avocados at Home Depot. Use it in the spring. Fruit trees often take 5-7 years before they start bearing.

Avocado trees are male or female. you have a male. Apple trees regularly are the two female and male, yet regularly won't produce fruit except "pass-polinated" by potential of yet another apple tree.
