alot of people think they know what gothic is, but many or should i say most of them are wrong. there is nothing evil or agaisnt god by being gothic. anymore if you ask any ture 'goth' person they will tell you goth is what you make it. i know many gothic people and they are all different, they don't belive the same thing, well some of them do. many of them good to church and pary to god, and some don't. but i bet none of them are what you think. people more then less of the time say some one is bad just by what that person looks like, that isn't fair. so what ever happened to being free?

Joke? gothic is a way of dressing, not a way of life. It's a way to physically express being part of a subculture that isn't hell bent on mainstream media and being influenced by trend. It's all teenage angst.
You don't have to be goth to be judged based on physical appearance.
It's all a phase.

Well most of gothic ppl tend to wear a lot of black clothing and a lot of black makeup. Black is a mysterious, and colorless shade, generally gives you a sense of uncertainty, coldness and sadness. So if someone is wearing black all the time, ppl may think they are sad or lonely. People that wear brighter colors tend to be more cheery. This is because our clothes are a reflection of who we are and how we feel, and different colors give off different emotions... like red promotes hunger.... black tends to signify evil as well, so maybe thats why ppl will be apt to think gothic is evil.

Who cares? Here is a better question - why are goth people always obsessing about this stuff, about this group they like to claim. Preppy people don't go around calling themselves preps and trying to define it, neither do punks, no other group does this and it is a childish petty wasted of time and most people are sick of hearing about it. Stop causing so much eye rolling!

I don't think goths are evil at all. I've know goths. But I do wonder why every goth chick who is fat has to wear tight black spandex...don't they know it isn't a good idea for any big person to wear spandex?

this sounds like a question heavily biased upon something which i dont know...
What most people currently classify as "gothic" are satanic people who wear big baggy black clothes listen to death metal etc etc
It's emo that all believe the same thing, theyre all "im different" but theyre 100% like all the rest of the "different ones"
they all refuse to "conform" but all actually conform to eachother and are just retarded

well, the lyrics of some of the "gothic" songs, seem like they arent worshippers of god. take some of these for example, i dunno if these songs/groups/artists or goths but..
