he probably wants to

a. see if you are still pregnant
b. see if there is any tissue in the uterus
c. check you for infection.

your best bet is to wait and talk to your doctor. Its a long wait, and you will be nervous and scared. I've been there. When I was pregnant with my 7 yr old daughter, they scheduled an emergency ultrasound to make sure she wasnt a tumor. Was the longest 2 days of my life waiting for that ultrasound.

You could very possibly be prego again... have you taken a HPT? if your last period was the 10th unless you have 40+ day cycles you hsould probably get a positive test now.
Even though they don't suggest it, it is very easy to get prego again right away.

Also how far along were you with the miscarriage? It can take a while for it to go back down. Also sometimes the body doesn't clean its self out properly through AF at left over tissue can cause problems sometimes.

When is the ultra sound? That seems a long time to wait to find out whats going on. I am sorry about the miscarriage & hopefully you can figure out whats going on with your body!

Just wait and see what the doctor says. Your uterus expands because it is preparing for the birth of a child. It just needs time to go back down from the miscarriage. He wants to make sure that there are not any other problems.

your uterus is just like your skin if you hit it it gets a bruise and doesnt look right for a couple of days well in your uterus having a miscarriage is like a bruise your uterus has just suffered something catostrophic and may not act the same way until it heals dont worry for you are in gods hands just pray

Your uterus may still be enlarged from the previous pregnancy. Or you may have fibroids. Your doctor will let you know.
