Someone has told me that if I open a private club and sell "memberships" I can sell alcoholic beverages. Is this in any way true. Or do you know of another way to beat the dry laws?

why don't you call the authorities. That's the only way to know for sure. Do you think everyone on Yahoo Answers sleep at a Holiday Inn Express.

I don't live in a dry state or county, but I know people avoid having to buy a liquor license by allowing people to bring their own bottles. The owner sells set-ups (ice, cups, mixes etc.) Better check with the authorities!
