This is a serious question for all you great guys, and any women who feel they have an answer for me...we are seperated 3 months now. He hasnt filed for divorce. I havent filed for divorce..why can i be honest with everyone, and say I am seperated...but he tells everyone he is divorced. Not to mention its on his yahoo profile, and his my space profile. He honestly feels this way, but there have been no papers filed for divorce, or seperation...just living seperate lives in seperate houses? Can anyone tell me what his way of thinking means, and how this approach could possibly make any sense to him? Thanks to all!

He says he's divorced because he wants to appear that way to women who might be reading his profile. Also, to him the marriage is over anyway even though it hasn't been officially finalized.

To him he believes the relationship is over and to get grips with it he is saying he is divorced needless to say he is probablyt using this to find a new gal to screw and this makes him feel detached from you. I would also not put it past him that he has filed for divorce and the papers just haven't made to you yet be on the look-out you could get served. If he hasn't i would take it upon yourself to file first by doing this you will have more levearge and he will be caught off guard. It appears he doesn't care for you any longer so say adios and let him go that seems to be what he wants or is telling every one he is already there.

It means he feels that the seperation will lead to divorce. After all, you are living seperate lives now. You might as well be divorced. Seperation is just "pre-divorce". He is just moving on faster than you are.
It's also easier to get a date if you are divorced and not just "seperated".

He's just hoping to get more women. A decent woman wouldn't go near a married man who hasn't filed for divorce. He knows this. It makes sense because he's living in denial.

The reason he says he is divorced, not separated, is that if women look at his profile and he is only separated, they know he might go back to his spouse at any time. They do not want to waste their time, energy, and emotion, on a married, but separated, guy. So he leads them to believe he is divorced.....and that's wrong!

It's because he's done with the marriage and the relationship. And, in telling everyone that he's divorced and not just separated, he's opening the door for any future takers.

He is getting on with his life.You set up a profile like that when you are looking for dates.Papers don't mean a thing to him,he is on the prowl for other women.

You are his saftey net. He is playing the field being single again. But if things go wrong and the fun dries up he has you to fall back on. I tried that and it blew up in my face!

He is putting himself out there to find another woman. Wether he admits it or not.. Be glad that he is gone and try to move on. You don't need a guy that is going to treat you like that.. Good luck
