He was a masterful writer, he had a great writers voice, told a good tale and everything just had that Poe feel to it.

George Meredith has some stuff like that and Coleridges Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a classic.

Because if you watch his books made into movies then every moment the adrenalin in your body would flow, that is, you will have continuous secretion of stimulative hormones by the adrenal glands.

As they say, his skillfully wrought tales and poems convey with passionate intensity the mysterious, dreamlike, and often macabre forces that pervaded his sensibility. He is also considered the father of the modern detective story.

Poe wrote what is considered the first mystery. He specialized in the "horror" genre. He had an uncanny ability to build tension in his writing. His poetry tends to be somber and melancholic.

He just gets under your skin. My favorite is the Tell-tale Heart. I had written a paper about that story for my English 1020 class and got a 100 on it. I just love his writings.
