-7x=-26+6x
subtract 6x from each side
-13x=-26
divide both sides by -13
-13x/(-13)=-26/(-13)
x=2

7x=26-6x
7x+6x=26-6x+6x
13x=26
13x/13=26/13

first, add 7x at both sides,then you will get :
-7x+7x=-26+6x+7x since -7x+7x=0 so
you will get 13x-26=0 13x=26
so x=2
