One of my nephews.. I had not seen him in many years and still have not seen him and do not even know where he is

Yup. I have... my best friend from high school and my baby brother. And as I've aged and met more people, many, many more. If you are wondering if I was upset, the answer is a resounding "NO!!!".
What upsets me are people who worry about what gay marriage does to the definition of "traditional marriage," and others who (for no apparent reason) want to harm the people I love based solely upon their sexual orientation. I am a patient woman, but that really pushes my buttons. I know everyone has a right to their own beliefs and perspectives, but it hurts my heart when those I love are discussed more as ideas than as people.
And for anyone who disagrees with me (and I'll defend your right to), please remember that everyone is someones child, brother, sister, or friend. It just about kills me when people are cruel to my brother. If you are someone who hates homosexuality, please ask yourself if you'd like to see your brother, sister, or friend subjected to cruelty.

My nephew is gay, and partnered for over 10 years. I'm partnered for 4 years. My cousin is a lesbian. She was partnered for over 12 years. I had an uncle I suspect was gay, He married in his forties to a "mannish" woman. Before that he had many single male friends.

No, I think I'm the only one (so far) I have my sneaking suspicions about a few family members but I'll leave them alone and let them come around to their senses.

Yes, one of my cousins. My Gaydar went crazy when she was around 14. A few years after that , she came out in a letter to me and my gf.

Yes, and I did not have a problem with it. I'm Ac/Dc myself and am comfortable around Gay people.
