From what I know Zen's are really good. A Zen includes a microphone recorder, the ability to plug into other mp3 and take the song straight from there to the Zen, and many other features. Also the I have seen the Zen for $60 with 500 song capability where the iPod holds 500 songs and it $150. iPods are great but many people's iPods seem to break.

First, it depends on how much you want to spend, i would advise you t stay away from anything under 120.00, unless its on sale. I had a 100.00 creative Zen nano, and it just died one day. I dont currently have another MP3 player yet, i have been relying on my cd player, but i have been reading reviews and asking around. The Sandisk Sansa 4gb looks pretty good, and my friend just got a Creative Zen 5, and he loves it. Although my cousin bought a 200.00 Creative Zen and it died on him, so i would stay away from Creative. I have heard many good things about iPod, but i also know that after frequent use, the battery only lasts 18 months. After that it wont hold a charge. I have read good things about the latest Samsung MP3 player, but dont personally know anyone that has one. There are really great customer reviews on www.circuitcity.com, so i would check there. Hope that this was helpful!

Creative zen vision m, the best in the market. may not be as popular but its certainly better than an ipod. AND yes it is an awesome player JUST for music or video, i dont see why the person above said its not a great music player when its made by creative labs (leader in digital entertainment) the video is the best. its not too thick, about the size of the 60gb ipod, only because of its big battery and its mroe durable too.

if you keep on asking a Q with that little of details, everyone will skip your Q, keep that in mind.
I dont know wat do you mean by "best". I have a ZenVisionM and it's completely wonderful. You can put basically everything on this player. And the screen is so amazing. It has all the features u can name (well, except if you name some "fictional" features). The best mp player out there. The only problem is, it's pretty big and heavy. If you need a player for mostly music, it's not the best. But, the video and pictures can fit and be viewed on this player perfectly. Ipods are pretty good. If you are looking entry level, the 1st gen nanos and shuffles are on sale.
