I'm in the military and I know good and well who his comments were directed at. Seems to be just another case of politicians grasping at straws.

Shows desperation when that is your best chance to win an election. Some Republicans would have us believe everyone in the military believes what they tell them and they are are offended by what Kerry has said. You have just shown just how smart our military is. You can see through the crap to the truth. Pretty disgusting when the truth takes a backseat to politics. It really does show the true character of these political hacks, not to mention the PRESIDENT of the greatest country on earth. Here is the best quote I have seen. "Is the White House too stupid to know he was making a joke about them being stupid"

We must always trust the truth no matter what.
Keep up the good work.

Just have to add one thing. It is funny how people took what you said so differently.

He is not the only one who criticized our troops. Hillary called the guards at Gitzmo stormtroopers. Kennedy called them Nazis, Rangels called them Gestapo. So Kerry was just following his hero. And NO the others were not referring to Bush. Some of the anti war people are treating the troops today the same as me when I came back from Nam. They are accusing them of killing wemen & children. I was accused of that. I have been spat on. But these troop deserve better . Some did wrong & will be punished but 99.9% are wonderful proud professionals. They deserve our thanks & prayers every day. Kerry should leave joke telling to the pros, because he sure can not tell one. Also I never heard the name Bush in the joke. Oh yes he expects me to be a mind reader..

Kerry showed his true colors with that remark, he is a pathetic sore loser. Liberals like him have always hated the military. He only used the military to bolster his political ambitions. He received a purple heart for being slightly injured form a grenade THAT HE THREW.
Thank you for your service to this country, there are many more people that feel like I do than the media let's you know.

I'm almost as tired of hearing that as I am of hearing about Mark Foley's dirty email posts. It's all politicians playing the game, but he said what he said and there's no denying it no matter how furiously the Democrats try to spin it.

I'm tired of hearing Mr Kerrys BS. I am retired Army and there was no doubt that he said what he meant, Remember this is the same "War Hero" who was ashamed of his service in 1971...The man actually believes that the military are dumb...Mr Kerry it is time for you to shut up, resign your seat, and go back to your beloved France..

Kerry made a bad comment. His remarks can be called "botched" or whatever have you, but considering Donald Rumsfelds and Bush's past "jokes" about our military this is really nothing.

The thing is that Kerry is a democrat.
BOOOOOO
Quick, point fingers at the liberal

I am so with you!! I'm a military spouse. It seems obvious what he was talking about and yet somehow it has been blown out of proportion and everyone is buying into they hype. I'm amazed how many, supposedly well educated, intelligent people were able to take his remarks totally out of context.
