Did you buy a lottery ticket?
If not this is a scam. I get about five per day.
Just delete it and ignore it..

Yahoo doesn't have a lottery. Click on the bottom right corner of the email and show full headers. You will see the path the email took. If anything but www.yahoo.com shows up like ra.yahoo.fr, it's not real.

If it's too good to be true, it probably is. And if you didn't enter the contest, how did you win?

It's a scam and really bad one at that. I wonder how many people the scammers think will fall for a lame trick like that?

Of course it is a scam. If you really have to ask you should unplug the wire that brings the internet. It isn't safe for you here. There are a lot of scams that are hard to pick out.

What does the email address contain? When you view the actual header does it say it came from a yahoo server?

or just yahoo.com?

Always curious when I hear of these scams.

I win lotteries like that twice a week and nearly always for much bigger sums. But money does not bring happiness and I do not bother to reply to them. It is only money !

It is a scam. Anytime you have to send them money it is a scam. There are scams where they send you a check, you deposit it, send them the taxes, and then the check bounces.
