I saw a big "going out of business" banner on the one in Chicago last weekend.

Online sellers have killed them. When you can sit in your house and order to your door, why would you go to a brick and morter place for discs? The online places are only warehouses that stock, take orders, and pack and ship. No flashy stores to pay for. And places like Amazon allow for more detailed product info than you get picking up a disc in a plastic holder at a store.

I bet best buy and circuit city will stop selling media within 15 years.
