What makes the consulting profession so attractive? Please elaborate as well.?

I work as a business consultant for new businesses and i do it because I like to help people succeed. I like to see dreams turn into reality, and I like to help people get there.
I know other consultants that do it because they can be a *jack of all trades, but master of none*. And because you can charge more as a consultant than you can as an employee.

If you can get people to believe you are helping them, you have the satisfaction of being needed. If you believe you have lots of great ideas to share, you have the satisfaction of feeling successful.
