2) type of element (nonmetallic, metal, metalliod)
3) atomic number
3) atomic mass
4) properties of that element,
ex. where found, natural state at room temperature, availablility on earth, natural existence on earth or not, why it is poisonous, and how it is poisonous, ETC... you know..

Well, if you found a way to ingest it without it coming contact with oxygen, you would die due to explosions. Mercury is definitely a good candidate for toxicity. Remember the Mad Hatter? Hatters went mad from the mercury that they used to cure the felt used to make hats!

Mercury is a metalloid that is liquid at room temperature (the only other liquid metal at room temperature is bromine).

Mercury: symbol Hg; atomic # 80; atomic mass 200.59;

Mercury is extremely rare naturally and is usually obtained by doing something to cinnabar.

Anything else? I don't know, but I'm sure wikipedia has a lot of info on mercury.

Mercury (Hg). I BELIEVE it is a metalliod, but I may be wrong. It is the only element that is liquid are room temperature. If you touch it, the element ends up being carried through your blood stream and collecting around your brain cells literally causing insanity and possibly death if enough is ingested.

Atomic number is 80 and atomic mass is 200.59

See the link below for more info if you'd like it.

There are many toxic elements, both metals, gases, non-metals, etc. Some examples:

lead
arsenic
(almost all the "heavy metals")
iodine
fluorine

Look up each element in the chemistry handbook or on wikipedia.
