his wife was killed in the end of season 3, and he is trying to find the guy in brazil that ordered the hit on her.Also his brother raymond gets killed in the first couple epi's of this season
of course he acts mad thats his character, and he plays it well, there wouldnt be a show if it wasnt for him...

He's ALWAYS been mad. The character is one of the stiffest and dullest and most insufferable on television. What a sorry sack of a mainstay.
