My face is oily I just need to know. I don't want to look like a powder puff girl, but I'm of dark complexion and I just need a bit more help.

There are many face powders out there that can help absorb some oil. The trick is to make sure you get the right colour for you skin tone. Dark complexions can look dusty if you go too light or too pink. You want a colour that is more red/brown than rose.
Also, use a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer intended for oily skin so your face will over time produce less oil.
No scrubs or peel-off masks - they just boost oil production.

At walmart there is a small ligh blue compact in the skincare aisle. It says Clean and Clear on the top of it. The powder is blue but it goes on clear and absorbs oil like crazy. I know cuz I'm black and have used it. Now i use covergirl powder compacts. They also absorb oil and even out your skin in the process. I think that way is better because the invisible powder from clean and clean doesn't even out skin if it is uneven. even if it is even, it adds a "finished" look to your face. Enjoy!

umm try a makeup counter at the mall. or just look for makeup at any store that might sell make but makesure it says oil free make up. on it for dark complexion. nuetragena...

you could try oil blotting papers, or some companies make mattifying moisturizers
