i don't know if your parents would be cool with this or not, but built our son a loft bed because he needed more room. Now his bed is at bunk level and on one end is a desk and the other end is drawers and shelves. Underneath he has a chair and on the shelves is his television and his gaming system. He loves the extra space and a room he can go to where his brothers won't bother him. Also we hung all of his clothes on hangers on two rods in the closet. No more drawers with clothes falling out and no more folding clothes. He goes right to his closet and can just flip through the hangers until he finds the perfect tshirt without unfolding anything. The only thing in drawers are socks, boxers and pajama pants. Good luck.

First throw out ALL garbage. Make the bed. Then put everything that needs to be put away on the bed. At the same time put all dirty clothes in the hamoer. If you have anything that needs to go somewhere else in the house just place it outside your door. Don't leave your room till it is done. Work from top to bottom and left to right. Do not just move stuff but put it in it's proper place. Finally since everything is on your bed you will have to clean so you can go to bed.:) Make sure you have a place for everything and everything in it's place.

Try to divide your stuff into categories: stuff you use every day, stuff you use occasionally, stuff you use rarely. Put the stuff you use every day on top of your desks, dressers, tables, or shelves, so that it's easily accessible. Put the stuff you use occasionally inside closets, drawers, and cabinets. Put the stuff you use rarely under the bed or at the bottom of the closet, or better yet, put them in a box in the attic, cellar, or basement, or if you can afford it, rent a self-storage unit. If there's a computer in your room, it would be a good idea to create a document on your desktop, and as you put each thing in its place, type the item and its location into the document for future reference. If you have a computer and a TV in your room, if you get a TV tuner card for your computer, you can then save space by eliminating the TV. You might also have a category for stuff you never use or don't need anymore, and donate all that stuff to charity.

The best thing you can do is find a home for everything. I've found it's the little things that really add to the clutter. You need to have everything in boxes or bins or hidden away. If money is an issue go through the house and find old shoe boxes and put all of your "x" in. Find one place to store all your pens/pencils. Another place to keep books. Put boxes under the bed to keep them hidden. Stack stuff in organizes boxes in your closet. Get the idea?

this is what I did from my deep cleaning experience. I cleaned every nook and cranny that I could find from my bed to me closet. I went cleaned my room in sections.
First I did my desk; cleaned out what I didn't use anymore, worked, and didn't have any sentimental value to it.
Second, I cleaned the surfaces of each section thoroughly!!!
Third, I tried to get rid of things that were just plain old clutter...If I haven't used it in a year then it's got to go!
Good luck with your mini spring cleaning!
